Ceramics, collective term used for products made out of clay; 
differentiations are made between ware made from fired clay (bricks, 
tiles, sanitary-ware and electrical porcelain, etc), stoneware 
(insulators, pottery tableware, sewage pipes, etc.), porcelain ( 
Chinaware Industry), and refractories. Austria has a provincial 
vocational school (Landesfachschule) for ceramics, pottery, and kiln 
building at Stoob, Burgenland.
