Kerber, Erwin, b. Salzburg, Dec. 30, 1891, d. Salzburg, Feb. 
24, 1943, law graduate and theatre expert. From 1919 worked for the 
Salzburg Festival  Salzburg Festival (first performance 1920), took 
over their management and contributed considerably to their successful 
development. From 1933 also worked at the Vienna State Opera (member 
of the board of directors, manager and director), 1942/43 manager of 
the Salzburg Landestheater.
