Kerschbaumer, Marie-Therèse, b. Garches near Paris
(France), Aug. 31, 1936, poet, narrative writer, translator, has lived
in Vienna since 1957. Her work is characterised by social and
political commitment to antifascism and peace. In her novel "Der
weibliche Name des Widerstands" (1980) she describes in documentary
prose the fate of seven women who fought against the National
Socialist regime.
