b. April 22, 1533, 
d. Sept. 9, 1587, Landeshauptmann of Carinthia (from 1565). Confidant 
of Archduke  Karl II, 1568 his secret councillor and until 1580 
president of the supreme fiscal authority of the Inner Austrian lands; 
purchased  Hochosterwitz Castle and Wernstein Castle and enlarged both 
of them.
