Kinzl, Hans, b. St. Florian am Inn (Upper Austria), Oct. 5, 1898, 
d. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Oct. 23, 1979, geographer, expert in alpine 
research and glaciers. 1935-1968 Professor at the University of 
Innsbruck, 1958-1959 rector. Between 1936-1954 went on 5 expeditions 
to Peru. Studied mainly glaciology, population geography and 
historical cartography.
