Klíč (Klietsch), Karl, b. Hostinne, Czech Republic
(then Arnau), March 30, 1841, d. Vienna, Nov. 16, 1926, graphic
artist. Invented modern reproduction processes, particularly important
are heliogravure (1878), photogravure and "Klíčotypie", a
form of relief-engraving. In his youth he worked as a painter and
caricaturist and published humorous newspapers ("Der Floh").
