b. Brno, Czech Republic (then Bruenn), April 22, 1904, d. Vienna, 
Oct. 19, 1990, dancer, choreographer, theatre manager, writer. 
1927-1929 worked at R. Laban´s theatre Kammertanzbuehne in 
Berlin, 1929-1938 ballet master and choreographer in Vienna, from 1932 
teacher at the Vienna Reinhardt Seminar drama school; 1939-1942 
manager of the "Gaubuehne Niederdonau" in Baden, 1942-1944 manager of 
the municipal theatres of Brno; 1948 founder and manager of the 
"Theater fuer Vorarlberg", 1950-1952 director of the  Bregenz 
Festival; 1961/62-65 manager of the Theater an der Wien. 1970-1977 
administrative director, 1977-1979 commercial administrator of the 
Theater in der Josefstadt; awarded the Max Reinhardt Medal.
