Kobersdorf, Burgenland, market town in the district of Oberpullendorf, 
alt. 320 m, pop. 1,799, area 27.30 km%%sup 2/%, situated in central 
Burgenland at the foot of Pauliberg (761 m), near the border to Lower 
Austria.- Mineral spring, bottling of mineral water.- Baroque parish 
church (1728), Protestant church (1785, reconstructed in 1856), 
synagogue (1848), moated castle (16%%sup th/% -17%%sup th/%  
centuries) with arcaded courtyard (1654) and Gothic chapel. Since 1972 
plays have been performed in the courtyard in summer. Basalt deposits 
near Kobersdorf.
