!!!Kocherscheidt, Kurt Kappa

Kocherscheidt, Kurt Kappa, b. Bleiburg (Carinthia), July 6, 
1943, d. Wels (Upper Austria), Nov. 13, 1992, painter. 
1961-1965 studied with S.  Pauser at the Academy of Fine Arts in 
Vienna. 1969-1972 lived in London, then returned to Vienna. Travelled 
extensively in South America in 1972-1973, and in Mexico and 
California in 1981. Began with monument-like figurations in earth 
colours; in the 1980s increasingly found inspiration in pictures by 
older painters.
