b. Bozen/Bolzano (South Tyrol), Feb. 11, 1949, poet and cultural 
journalist. Member of the Grazer Autorenversammlung, an association of 
authors. Lives in Vienna, writes mainly poetry in Italian and/or 
German; belongs to the critical authors of South Tyrol; themes of his 
poems are the ethnic, political and cultural problems of his native 
region. Awarded a promotion prize (Austrian State Prize) in 1997.
