Kogler, Peter, b. Innsbruck (Tirol), June 19, 1959, media 
artist. 1980 international breakthrough, 1986-1987 lecturer at the 
Staatliche Hochschule fuer bildende Kuenste in Frankfurt am Main, 
since 1993 lecturer at the Academie des Beaux Arts Le Mans, at the 
Academie des Beaux Arts Paris and at the Academy of Fine Arts in 
Vienna. At first influenced by minimalism, today one of the most 
important representatives of computer generated and computer aided 
media art in Europe. Awarded the Prix Ars Electronica in 1988.
