Kommunalkredit AG, Oesterreichische, founded in 1958, bank 
specialising in developing industrial sites, today its core business 
is financing and support of communal infrastructure and environmental 
projects.  In 1993 the Kommunalkredit AG was entrusted with the 
distribution of state subsidies for environment protection; since then 
about 6 billion ATS has been allocated for environmental protection 
projects in the field of water supply, for businesses and sponsorships 
in Eastern Europe as well as for clearing problem sites and rendering 
them safe. Since the mid 1990s also active in project management with 
partners such as the Federal Chancellery, the Foreign Ministry, the 
World Bank, the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for 
Reconstruction and Development. Kommunalkredit AG belongs to the 
Oesterreichische  Investitionskredit AG group.
