Kongrua-Gesetze (Kongrua Laws), regulate the proprietary relations 
between the state and a religious community, in particular the 
remuneration of the clergy from state subsidies and the Religious 
Fund. The Kongrua Laws were promulgated during the reign of Joseph II 
and were replaced by the law on church contributions ( Church Rate) in 
1939.
