Konrad, Helga, b. Graz (Styria), Jan. 10, 1948. Philologist and 
politician (Austrian Social Democratic Party, SPOe), worked in the 
Education Department of the Styrian Chamber of Labour, 1977-1980; 
managing director of the Styrian "Kulturinitiative" cultural forum, 
1980-1993; city councillor in Graz, 1993-1995; Chairperson of 
Womens´ Affairs and deputy chairperson of the Social Democratic 
Party; 1995-1997; member of the Nationalrat, 1990-1993, 1996 and 
1997-1999; Minister for Women´s Affairs, 1995-1997.
