!!!Konrad II. Babenberger

Konrad II (member of the Babenberg family), b. around 1115, 
d. Admont (Styria), Sept. 28, 1168; Archbishop of Salzburg, son of 
Margrave  Leopold III, 1140 member of the Chapel Royal, 1143 Dean 
of the Cathedral of Hildesheim, 1148 Bishop of Passau. Serious 
conflicts with his brother Heinrich II. 1164 Archbishop of Salzburg, 
where his work reflected the opinions and ideas of the pope. Was put 
under the ban of the Empire in 1166 but continued his function in 
Friesach and Admont.
