!!!Konrad von Friesach

Konrad von Friesach, painter from Carinthia, worked between 1440-1460. 
Had a small workshop at Friesach and created altars for St. Peter am 
Kammersberg (Styria) and St. Lambrecht (Styria) around 1440. His main 
work is the gigantic Lenten veil (approx. 9 m by 9 m) for Gurk 
Cathedral (1458), the largest and oldest preserved Lenten veil in 
Carinthia, depicting 50 scenes from the Old and 49 scenes from the New 
Testament.
