Koref, Ernst, b. Linz, March 11, 1891, d. Linz (Upper 
Austria), Nov. 15, 1988. Provincial school inspector, politician 
(SPOe, Austrian Social Democratic Party); father of B.  Eypeltauer. 
1934 and 1944 imprisoned for political reasons, 1930-1934 and 
1945-1958 member of the Nationalrat, 1945-1962 Mayor of Linz, 
1958-1965 member of the Bundesrat. One of Austria´s most 
important municipal politicians after World War II.
