Kotanko, Christoph, b. Braunau am Inn (Upper Austria), 
July 27, 1953, journalist. Studied Romance languages and 
journalism in Vienna; 1979-1986 domestic affairs editor at the 
political weekly "Wochenpresse"; 1986-1988 editor at the 
weekly magazine "profil"; since 1988 head of the domestic 
affairs and commentaries departments and deputy editor-in-chief of the 
daily newspaper "Kurier". Kurt Vorhofer Prize 1999.
