Kottingbrunn, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Baden, 
alt. 251 m, pop. 5,317 (1981: 3,999), area 11.36 km%%sup 2/%, 
industrial and commercial centre, situated on the northern edge of the 
Vienna Basin, south of Bad Voeslau.- Voeslau airfield (sports planes, 
helicopter squadrons, air traffic control service run by Austro 
Control (the federal office for civil aviation), social work station 
run by the Niederoesterreichisches Hilfswerk; approx. 68% of the 1,158 
employed persons (1991) in the secondary sector: plastics production, 
construction of petrol stations, production of plastic windows, wide 
range of commercial businesses.- Gothic-Baroque parish church 
(1669-1689 remodelled in Baroque style), Trinity statue (1716), moated 
castle (2%%sup nd/%  half of the 17%%sup th/%  century, now the town 
hall and cultural centre), with castle chapel.
