Powerlifting, weight-lifting competition consisting of three events 
(deep-knee bend lift, bench press lift, two-handed dead lift) for both 
sexes. The Austrian Powerlifting Association (Oesterreichischer 
Verband fuer Kraftdreikampf, OeVK), founded in 1983, comprises 60 
clubs with a total of 2118 members (as of 1993).
