Motor Vehicles, according to the Motor Vehicle Law (Federal Law 
Gazette No. 267/67, 13%%sup th/%  amendment in 1990) road vehicles, 
propelled by a motor or engine and not operated on rails, even if they 
are supplied with power from an overhead contact line. In 1998 385,516 
(1993: 285,162) motor vehicles were registered for the first time in 
Austria.
