Krammer, Christa, b. Deutschkreutz (Burgenland), June 22, 1944, 
teacher and politician (SPOe, Austrian Social Democratic Party). 
Studied political science in Vienna, worked in the banking and 
education sectors (teacher and headmistress at a commercial school), 
1986/87 member of the Bundesrat, from 1987 responsible for culture, 
health and social affairs in the Burgenland provincial government. 
1994-1997 Minister of Labour, Health, Social Affairs and Consumer 
Protection), from 1997-1998 member of the Nationalrat and since 1999 
Austrian ombudswoman.
