June 28, 1936, ecclesiastical dignitary and theologian. 1962 took holy 
orders, 1970 professor of Philosophy at the Linz College of Catholic 
Theology, 1975 professor of Systematic Theology at the University of 
Regensburg, 1987 Titular Archbishop of Aulona, 1987-1991 Auxiliary 
Bishop of Vienna, since 1991 Diocesan Bishop of St. Poelten.
