Krenn, Werner, b. Vienna, Sept. 21, 1943; singer (tenor) and 
bassoonist, 1962-1966 member of the Vienna State Opera and from 1967 
at the Salzburg Festival. Renowned interpreter of 18th century works 
(esp. of W. A. Mozart), voice problems forced him to retire from 
singing, became orchestra musician.
