Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross (Kreuzschwestern), congregation of 
the  Sisters of Mercy , established in 1852 by P. Theodosius 
Florentini. They are engaged in instruction and training, care of the 
sick, poor, and elderly, as well as missionary work. Their motherhouse 
is in Ingenbohl, Switzerland; the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross 
have been established in Austria since 1860 and have seats of the 
Provincial Superior in Linz, Graz, Laxenburg (Lower Austria), and Hall 
in Tyrol.
