Krieglach, Styria, market town in the district of Muerzzuschlag, alt. 
608 m, pop. 5,116, area 93.76 km%%sup 2/%, situated in the Muerz 
Valley between Muerzzuschlag and Kindberg.- Forest supervision 
station, office of the regional health insurance agency 
(Gebietskrankenkasse), amateur shooting range, upper-level secondary 
school of commerce and trade; precision pipe production, 
electroplating industry, vehicle construction, sawmills, gravel works, 
summer tourism (58,208 overnight stays).- Home of the author and poet 
P.  Rosegger, (Kluppeneggerhof farm at Alpl, Waldschule with hiking 
museum, Rosegger house from 1877 and Rosegger-museum), who is buried 
at the old cemetery. Parish church (originally from the 14%%sup th/%  
century, alterations in Late Gothic and Baroque styles) with Late 
Gothic western tower, Rococo interior, frescoes in the sacristy 
(around 1420) and on the gallery.
