Der Markt Kronstorf ist eine Wohngemeinde mit Dienstleistungs- und Gewerbebetrieben im Ennstal. In Kronstorf befindet sich ein Brucknermuseum. Weiters werden Kunststoffwaren erzeugt.

Urkundlich wird Kronstorf erstmals 834 genannt.  

Sehenswert sind unter anderem:
* Bronzezeitliche Nekropole in Winkling
* Spätgotische Pfarrkirche
* Gasthof mit bemalter Empire-Fassade
* Födermayr-, Hartl- (1841) und Schifferkapelle
* Schloss Schieferegg (17. Jh.)
