Kulka, Heinrich, b. Litovel, Czech Republic (then Litovel), March
29, 1900, d. Auckland (New Zealand), May 6, 1971, architect.
1918-1924 studied at the University of Technology in Vienna, then
worked for A. Loos, later his partner (e.g. "Knize" salon in Paris,
1927; Werkbundsiedlung, a housing development in Vienna, 1932). 1938
banned from working by the Nazis, emigrated to Czechoslovakia, England
and finally to New Zealand, where he opened his own studio in 1945.
