Kummer, Karl, b. Vienna, Jan. 1, 1904, d. Warsaw (Poland), 
Aug. 15, 1967, lawyer and politician (OeVP, Austrian People´s 
Party). 1934-1938 employed at the Vienna Chamber of Labour, 1938 
imprisoned, 1945 Expert on Social Policy of the OeAAB (Austrian 
Workers´ and Employees´ Federation), 1953 founder of the 
Institute of Social Policy and Social Reform, 1956-1967 member of the 
Nationalrat, advocated Christian social reform.
