b. Vienna, Oct. 30, 1841, 
d. Vienna, Sept. 16, 1925, studied law; son of Leopold  Kupelwieser, 
brother of Paul  Kupelwieser. Founded the Vienna Institute of Radium 
Research (1910) and the Institute of Biology - Limnology at Lunz am 
See (1906). Honorary member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
