Kurz, Franz, b. Kefermarkt (Upper Austria), July 2, 1771, 
d. St. Florian (Upper Austria), April 12, 1843, musician, 
historian, Augustinian canon at the monastery of St. Florian. Wrote 
descriptions of several eras in Austrian medieval history based on 
critical studies of historical sources.
