Short-wave Service, "Radio Oesterreich International" (ROeI), 
international Austrian radio channel, operated by the ORF (Austrian 
Broadcasting Corporation) by order of the Austrian government 
according to § 4 of the law on broadcasting and financed by the 
state. ROeI broadcasts non-stop in 6 languages via the broadcasting 
station in Moosbrunn (Lower Austria), via satellite (since 1988) and 
to North America via a relay station of Radio Canada International. 
The channel has about 100 employees and a total daily broadcasting 
time of more than 80 hours.
