Kutschera, Rolf, b. Vienna, Jan. 6, 1916, actor, stage director, 
theatre manager, husband of the actress S.  Almássy. Trained by 
R.  Beer, 1940-1950 at the Vienna Volkstheater, then director at 
various German theatres (e.g. in Berlin). 1965-1982 art director of 
the Theater an der Wien (beginning of the musical era, e.g. "The Man 
from La Mancha" starring J.  Meinrad as Don Quixote, 
"Anatevka", "Hello Dolly", "Gigi" starring J.  
Heesters, "Evita", "Jesus Christ Superstar"). Appearances in film and 
on TV.
