b. Eisgrub (Lednice, Czech Republic), 1817, 
d. Vienna, April 15, 1882, flower and still life painter, uncle 
of the painter Fritz  Lach. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in 
Vienna. Best known for his still lifes of fruits and flowers.
