Lacina, Ferdinand, b. Vienna, Dec. 31, 1942, economist, 
functionary at the Austrian Chamber of Labour, politician (SPOe, 
Austrian Social Democratic Party). Worked from 1964 at the Vienna 
Chamber of Labour, from 1973 head of the department of economics, 1974 
appointed to the Advisory Board for Economic and Social Affairs. 
1980-1982 head of the office of Federal Chancellor B.  Kreisky, 
1982-1984 Staatssekretaer in the Federal Chancellery, 1984-1986 
Minister of Transport and 1986-1995 Minister of Finance, 1996-1997 
Director General of GiroCredit bank.
