Ladis, Tirol, municipality in the district of Landeck, alt. 
1,189 m, pop. 440, area 7.10 km%%sup 2/%. Bi-seasonal 
holiday resort (133,718 overnight stays) with a small lake in the 
Oberinntal valley, at the foot of the Samnaun Mountains. - Sulphur 
spring (pipeline to the sulphur bath in Ladis) and mineral spring 
(mineral water bottling) in Obladis (formerly Bad Obladis, mineral 
spring discovered in the 13%%sup th/%  century). Classicist parish 
church (1829-1831), Laudegg castle (first documentary mention in 1239, 
was partly rebuilt in 1943 and 1967-1969). Richly painted traditional 
buildings in the centre of Ladis ("Stockerhaus", town hall etc.).
