Lainsitz, River. Lower Austria, eastern tributary of River Vetava, 
rises near Karlstift (936 m) close to the border with the Czech 
Republic. The River Lainsitz flows across Weitra (562 m) and 
Gmuend (499 m) through the north-western part of the Waldviertel 
region and reaches Czech territory just behind the border, where it 
empties into River Luznice; average water flow amounts up to 
2.4 m%%sup 3/%/sec. near Ehrendorf.
