!!!Lamberg, Johann Maximilian Graf

Lamberg, Count Johann Maximilian, b. Brno, Czech Republic (then 
Bruenn), Nov. 21, 1608, d. Vienna, Dec. 12, 1682, diplomat and 
statesman. Became the confidant of Emperor  Leopold I after 
various diplomatic missions; at the peace negotiations of Muenster and 
Osnabrueck (1644-1646, diary Acta Pacis Westf. III C5). 1661 Chief 
Treasurer, 1675 Chief Controller, Secret State and Conference 
Minister. Enhanced his family´s position and acquired the domain 
of Steyr, 1666.
