Langenwang, Styria, market town in the district of Muerzzuschlag, alt. 
637 m, pop. 4,188, area 76.05 km%%sup 2/%, situated in the 
upper Muerz valley. - Golf course in the municipality of Krieglach, 
gymnasium; 2 electric power stations; wood processing, automation 
technology, clothing industry, car trade, some tourism. - Gothic 
parish church (before 1232, 14%%sup th/%  century, 1493-1501) with 
tombs from the 16%%sup th/%  century; south of Langenwang are the 
ruins of Hohenwang Castle (12%%sup th/%  century, damaged in 1770 
during an earthquake, ring wall destroyed in 1945); Feistritz Castle 
(18%%sup th/%  century) at the mouth of Feistritzgraben valley.
