Larisch-Wallersee, Countess Marie Louise, b. Vienna, Feb. 24, 1858, d. Augsburg (Germany), July 4, 1940, niece and confidante of Empress Elisabeth. Illegitimate child of an actress. Arranged meetings between Crown Prince Rudolf and his lover M. von Vetsera. Divorced, married an opera singer, lived in the USA from 1924, later in a home for old people in Augsburg. E. Kálmán told her life story in his operetta "Marinka" (1945, libretto by K. Farkas).
