Leiner, Rudolf, GmbH, furniture marketing chain with headquarters at 
St. Poelten, Lower Austria. Goes back to a company founded in 1808, 
since 1910 owned by the Leiner family, became one of Austria's leading 
furniture store chains under R.  Leiner; in 1973 a second sales chain 
was established within the Leiner group:  kika Moebelhandels GmbH. The 
group now has 44 furniture stores with sales (1998) in the order of 
ATS 14 billion. It has been managed by H.  Koch since 1973 and 
acquired the Michelfeit furniture stores in 1999.
