!!!Lengyel-Kultur
Lengyel Culture, named after the Hungarian archaeological site
Lengyel, culture of the middle Neolithic Age which emerged around
4800/4700 B.C. in western Hungary, Moravia, Slovakia and the east of
Austria. Also called "painted pottery culture" because of the popular
pottery paintings in the earliest period of this civilisation. Large
fortifications ( Falkenstein) and circular places of worship have been
investigated archaeologically in Austria. Influences from
south-eastern Europe.
