d. Vienna, Feb. 27, 1907, court actor, director, author. 1858-1907 at 
the Burgtheater in Vienna (debut as Franz Moor); character actor 
(mainly villains, but also comical parts and in popular plays); from 
1870 also director; outstanding enunciation, one of the best recitors 
of his time.
