b. Mainz (Germany), 1752 (?), 
d. Graz (Styria), Nov. 12, 1826, bookprinter. Learned his profession 
under J. T. von  Trattner in Vienna, founded 1781 his own printing 
office in Graz, bought the Leuzendorfer paper mill in 1793 and 
expanded the printing office and the publishing house. The resulting 
companies still exist today.  Leykam AG).
