Lichtenwerth Castle, Tirol, castle in the municipality of Muenster on 
an island of the River Inn now connected to the river bank by 
sedimentary deposits, west of Brixlegg, first documented mention 
1212/49, 1303-1468 Salzburg fief in the possession of Frundsberg. 
Originally free-standing stronghold from the 13%%sup th/%  century on 
rectangular ground plan, originally 2 keeps (one dismantled in 1658), 
castle with three storeys. Theatre room (1765) on the last floor of 
the "Stoeckelgebaeude" chapel remodelled in 1776.
