Liebenau, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Freistadt, 
alt. 970 m, pop. 1,957, area 76.29 km%%sup 2/%, agricultural 
area along the Weinsberger Woods in the Muehlviertel region, at the 
border of Lower Austria. Nature reserve Tannermoor 
(120 hectares). - Late Baroque parish church (built between 
1753-1757, enlarged in 1833), interior from 1887.
