b. Vienna, Nov. 29, 1627, 
d. Vienna, Sept. 9, 1683, mayor of Vienna. From 1652 registrator, from 
1653 head of the Town Chancellory, 1678-1680 town judge and from 1680 
mayor of Vienna. 1679 rendered great services fighting the plague. 
During the 2nd siege of Vienna by the Turks (see:  Turkish Sieges of 
Vienna) led the defence of the town. Statue in front of the Moelker 
Bastei, Vienna (1890).
