!!!Lohner, Helmuth

b. Vienna, April 24, 1933, (film-)actor, started as a member of the 
chorus of Stadttheater Baden (Lower Austria), then sang buffo parts in 
operettas at the Stadttheater in Klagenfurt. From 1954 engagement at 
the Theater in der Josefstadt; guest performances in Germany, spent 
many years at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich. From 1972 at the Salzburg 
Festival (Nestroy parts, "Jedermann" - "Everyman"). From 1978 at the 
Vienna Burgtheater (numerous parts in plays by J. Nestroy, A. 
Schnitzler, Oe. von Horváth, W. Shakespeare and others). 
Since 1997 Managing Director of the  Theater in der Josefstadt, Vienna 
(until 1999 with R.  Jungbluth). Film and TV work.
