Lorch, Upper Austria, in the district of Linz-Land, part of the town 
of  Enns. Developed out of the Roman  Lauriacum. - St. Laurenz, 
mother parish church of Enns, Gothic basilican building (from 1281); 
from1960-1966 walls of 3 previous buildings were uncovered in the 
course of archaeological excavations: Roman town temple of Lauriacum 
(180 A.D.), first Christian church (370) and early Carolingian 
building (around 740). The excavations are exhibited in the presbytery 
and the (newly built) crypt. 2 tabernacles (end of 15%%sup th/%  
century), high altar panel (1715); charnel house (1507) with Ecce-Homo 
group (1690); Gothic lantern in cemetery.
