!!!Loschmidt, Johann Joseph
b. Počerny, Czech Republic (then Putschirn), March 15, 1821,
d. Vienna, July 8, 1895, physicochemist. 1868 to 1891 University
Professor of Physical Chemistry, developed 1865 the method for
calculating the molecules of an ideal gas in its normal state,
introduced the graphic symbols for multiple bonds still in use today.
He predicted even before A. Kekule the circular arrangement of carbon
atoms in the benzene ring.
